Personal Statement

Dr. Madden is a science educator who advocates for scientific literacy and the health of our planet through teaching and learning. She is currently the Principal Investigator on a US EPA grant, Ecoteachers: Protecting Waters and Connecting Minds which provides professional development for local teachers focused on integrating environmental education across the curriculum. She also serves at Co-PI on a Robert Noyce Teaching Fellows grant based in TCNJ’s Department of Physics which seeks to recruit secondary physics teachers. She is active in the Hunterdon, Somerset, and Mercer County STEM Ecosystem as well and enjoys leading professional development that connects teachers around STEM. She enjoys yoga, reading, travel, and spending time with her curious twin sons, husband, dog, and cat.
